Solar Street Light Buying Guide

Choosing a solar street light starts from the site, not from the wattage. The site gives three facts that decide the choice: the pole height, the width of the road or area, and the number of nights of autonomy required. The AN-SLZ series publishes six wattages from 40W to 150W, each with its own LED count, battery capacity, panel wattage, size and recommended installation height, and those rows are the only figures this guide uses.

The first step is the pole height. The 40W model is recommended for 4 to 7 metres, the 60W model for 5 to 8 metres, the 80W model for 6 to 9 metres, and the 100W, 120W and 150W models for 7 to 10 metres. A model chosen for a pole outside its recommended band will either concentrate its light too narrowly or spread it too thinly, so the height band is a real constraint, not a suggestion.

The second step is the panel and battery pair. The panel charges the battery by day, and the battery powers the light by night. The 40W model pairs a 65W panel with a 192WH battery, while the 150W model pairs a 160W panel with a 1152WH battery, and the models between follow the same pattern: larger wattages carry larger panels and larger batteries together. A buyer should check that the pair suits the local sunshine and the autonomy required, rather than choosing the largest wattage by default.

The third step is the control mode. Light control suits roads that need light all night. Microwave sensing suits quiet roads and yards, where full light is only needed when someone approaches. Remote control suits sites where the behaviour must be changed without visiting each pole. The fourth step is the specification check: confirm the model name, the specification row and the certificates before ordering, because model names in this market differ by a single character and their figures are not interchangeable.
