Solar Panels

Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, and they are the charging source for every solar light on this site. This site lists solar panels as one of the company's five main categories, but no panel model name and no panel specification table has been published, so this page stays at selection level: it explains panel types and how to choose, and it does not present general panel knowledge as this company's model specification.

The common panel types are monocrystalline, polycrystalline and N-type double-glass. Monocrystalline panels are generally the most efficient per unit area, which matters when the mounting space is limited, as it is on an all-in-one street light. Polycrystalline panels are generally less efficient but lower in cost. N-type double-glass panels are described as offering higher efficiency and longer durability, but the figures vary by manufacturer and should be checked against the specific panel offered.

For the AN-SLZ street light models on this site, the panel is part of the published model row: 18V panels from 65W on the 40W model up to 160W on the 150W model, all monocrystalline. Those figures belong to the street light models, not to a standalone panel range, and they are repeated here only as a cross-reference. A buyer who needs a standalone panel should ask for the current panel range in the inquiry.

Panel wattage, battery capacity and lighting hours must be balanced together. A larger panel charges faster but does not by itself extend the night: that is the battery's job. A larger battery stores more energy but needs enough panel to recharge it. The guides on this site explain that balance using only the published AN-SLZ figures, so the advice stays inside what is actually specified.
