Solar Panel Selection Guide
Choosing a solar panel means balancing efficiency, size, cost and durability, and the right balance depends on the system the panel serves. This guide explains panel selection at general level. It does not present general panel knowledge as this company's model specification, because no panel model table has been published.
Efficiency decides how much power comes from a given area. Monocrystalline panels are generally the most efficient, which matters most where the mounting area is limited, as on an all-in-one street light. Polycrystalline panels are generally less efficient but lower in cost, which suits ground-mounted arrays where area is not constrained. N-type double-glass panels are described as offering higher efficiency and longer durability, but the figures vary by manufacturer and should be checked against the specific panel offered.
For the AN-SLZ street light models, the panel is part of the model row: 18V monocrystalline panels from 65W to 160W across the six models. A buyer choosing a standalone panel should state the system voltage, the required daily energy, the available mounting area and the climate, and should ask for the specific panel's wattage, efficiency and warranty in the inquiry. Panel wattage alone does not decide a system: the battery and the load must be sized with it.
